Review of the Playstation Vita TV micro console FF XIV variant
PC Engine Fan X!
(Somewhere out on the Grid)
7/1/2015 10:29 PM
Nice little white colored PS Vita TV micro console with the cool FF XIV Heavensward logo motifs emblazoned on the topside. Doesn't come with a DS3 controller but will sync quite nicely with one if you do have one in your gaming stash.
Tis a shame that you can't play Jeff Minter's uber-slick PS TV exclusive TxK shmup on a JPN region Vita TV micro console due to different "locked out" country region, of course (it's no problem to play TxK on a USA or European region PS TV setup though).
Too bad you can't hook up a 3rd-party PS3 or PS4 (via USB cable) arcade stick controller as there isn't official firmware support to do so -- so therefore, it's just using Sony's 1st-party Dual Shock 3 or Dual Shock 4 controller as the only means to play your favorite Vita games on the bigger HDTV screen setup from the get-go.
By picking up an optional matching white colored Dual Shock 3 or Dual Shock 4 controller, will it match with this cool FF themed Vita TV micro console bar-none.
An external Vita memory card will be necessary if you exceed the internal 1 GB of storage space from within the Vita TV (which is all to easy these days given with some of the larger Vita gaming titles that'll easily exceed/break the 1GB allotted memory restriction).
