«©NCSX» Previous plastic realizations of Luffy and the crew of the Straw Hat Pirates have rendered them in boring poses where they stood upright like they were proper gentlemen. They're nothing of the sort since they're rowdier than most brigands who sail the open seas and the word "decorum" isn't part of their everyday vernacular.
To make up for the lack of rowdiness in the previous Portrait of Pirates figures, Megahouse is sculpting Luffy in a new kind of pose. He's a brawler this time around where he stands with legs wide apart and his right fist is coiled back like a cobra. A toothy and gritty sneer flashes across Luffy's face because he's bad and possibly dangerous. He might even be off the wall now that he's seemingly unhinged in his new Portrait of Pirates Neo-DX incarnation.
