Owners may earn watts to feed Pikachu by using the pedometer feature (walk with it...everywhere) of the Pocket Pikachu. Watts will also give you the capital to purchase special items when transferred over to the GBC Pokemon games for "Mysterious Gifts." To help owners earn more watts, Pikachu plays a high-low card game which allows one to earn additional watts. Pikachu throws out a card and you'll have to guess whether the next card is higher or lower. Guessing correctly wins 8 watts and each subsequent correct choice increases the amount of watts won. Miss the nextr guess and all of your winnings are plundered. Pikachu may be fed watts in increments of 1 to 999 and the little rugrat will show his level of happiness or displeasure with various comical animations. As Pikachu bonds with you and increases his level of affection, he'll move closer to the screen.

Treat Pikachu nice by feeding it watts often and he'll be your pal forever. In his little virtual realm, Pikachu plays video games, surfs, auditions for American Idol, gobbles cereal, shakes a hula hoop about it's belly, baths and even lies on the floor rolling along. Occasionally, Pokemon friends visit such as Diglett and Poliwag. The aim of the game is to interact and treat Pikachu with love, attention and mass watts. Interact poorly or starve Pikachu with meager watts and he'll turn his backside to you. Continue to act the fool and Pikachu will eventually split town and leave your sorry self.

Caution: We found that the PPC screen scratches easily when left in the open and/or handled by small children, woodland animals and other random forces of nature.
