NCS Product Synopsis
Update: March 15, 2005

«©NCSX» When the fiery maned Lord Zetta's plans to avert destiny go awry, he loses his entire underworld kingdom. Help the egoist regain the kingdom and his throne by way of isometric battles and skullduggery. Similar in style to previous Nippon Ichi games, Phantom Kingdom also features versatile new battle engines and a summoning system called "Invite" to build up the ranks of one's armies. On the battlefield, soldiers may be directed to enter buildings and structures to congregate them in one location to recover and for protection. Once everyone's in, entire buildings and structures may be carried and tossed around the battlefield to move soldiers from location to location quickly.

NCS Game Notes
* The Netherworld - Lord Zetta is upset with a prophecy which states that his Netherworld will disappear and steps into the Forbidden Library to locate the Sacred Tome. When challenged by a brawler named Raiden who has sparks of electricty crackling across his body, a battle begins.

* Battles are involved affairs with onscreen special effects, animated sequences, and other fireworks. After defeating Raiden with a Zodiac blast and a Showtime attack, Zetta locates the Sacred Tome and flips through it to only find that defeating Raiden hasn't changed the demise of the Netherworld. After mocking the book and poo-pooing its prognostications, the book crumbles into a fiery mass, a blast wave erupts, and Zetta decides to bind his soul to the book with a Confine spell.

* In the next scene, Zetta's demonic face is plastered on the cover of the Sacred Tome which floats in space. He summons a girl named Pram the Oracle who greets him. She's the oracle who predicted Zetta's Netherworld demise and she in turn summons Valvoga, an amalgam of three creatures led by a demon general with an effeminate voice.

* Pram advises Zetta that the Netherworld can be brought back by writing it in the pages of the book. Since Zetta has no arms, Pram helps him create a doghouse at first to start him off in a humble estate. Once Zetta is on the ground, he may create servants by binding souls to inanimate objects to create mobile characters.
