«©NCSX» The grand opening of the JSL Space Hotel is cause for celebration and fanfare. In the midst of the merrymaking, alien forces stage an attack and wreck the festivities in rapid fashion. Rising up from the carnage, you find most of your fellow celebrants dead and your girlfriend Sayaka missing. Destiny places you in the confines of an operator's booth and in touch with a waitress named Rio. Together, you make up a team which will venture into the space hotel with you providing the vocal direction from the safety of your booth and Rio proving to be a worthy agent who explores the corridors and rooms of the hotel based on your instructions and guidance.
Pockets of survivors are located throughout the hotel along with a number of aliens who attack when approached. Healing capsules may be picked up to revive Rio's health and launcher rounds to blast away at aliens. The game may be controlled by way of Sony's microphone controller where one speaks Japanese to control Rio and by joypad where menus and options are manipulated. Voice actress Mariko Suzuki provides the voice of Rio in the game; Mariko also provided the vocal stylings for Amane Kaunaq in Tenchi! Muyo! GXP and Sawatari Honoka in PS1 game Sentimental Journey.
Mini-games
Once a player finishes the game with a certain number of chips, a mini-game is unlocked for every 4 chips. Collect 16 chips and all four mini-games will be available which are:
