"Oshi no Ko" (translated as "My Favorite Idol" or "My Idol's Child") revolves around the story of a famous idol named Ai Hoshino and the darker, often hidden aspects of the entertainment industry. The story begins with Ai, a beloved idol and lead singer of B-Komachi, who becomes pregnant and decides to keep her children a secret to maintain her career. She gives birth to twins, Aqua and Ruby, but there's a twist—the twins are actually reincarnations of a doctor and a young girl who were both fans of Ai in their previous lives.
The doctor, Gorou, who had idolized Ai, is reborn as her son, Aqua, and the girl, who was also a fan, is reborn as Ruby. The story follows Aqua and Ruby as they navigate their new lives, driven by different motives—Aqua is determined to uncover the dark secrets of the entertainment industry, while Ruby dreams of becoming an idol herself.
